Sustain Infrastructure Tempo, NUJ Urges Idris

BIRNIN-KEBBI – Members of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists Kebbi State Chapter have assured Governor Nasir Idris of committed support as long as he sustain his effort in turning around the socio-economic fortunes of Kebbi State.

While commending the governor’s foresight in initiating impactable developmental programmes and projects, they advised that he remain focused, unshakeable, and never allow himself to be misled.

The representatives of the media organisations with national outlook in the state made their suggestions when the newly elected leadership of the Chapel visited the Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to the state Governor Abdullahi Idris Sadaukin Zuru at his residence in Birnin Kebbi to introduce the newleadership. .

The Chairman of the Chapel Mallam Kabiru Wurma of the Leadership Newspaper who spoke during the visit, observed that the development recorded in every sector of development within two years is remarkable and an indication of his commitment to peace, unity, and service delivery in the state.

They expressed confidence in the capacity and professional ability of Abdullahi Zuru to strengthen the governor’s media and communication machinery for effective coverage and publicity, if given the required support.

They described their host as a veteran journalist, a role model, active unionist, and effective image maker with a track record of exemplary performance and leadership.

They requested the government assistance in the provision of working materials and improvement of welfare in order to serve as a morale booster and encouragement for effective service.

In brief remarks, Abdullahi Sadaukin Zuru thanked them for the visit, expression of confidence, and their preparedness to support Comrade Governor Idris determination to change the narrative of the socio-economic and political development of the state.
