Suleiman Dikwa has officially declared his intention to run for President-General of the Unity School Old Students Association (USOSA).

Dikwa, who made the declaration during the 37th Annual Conference held at the Women Development Centre in Abuja recently, unveiled a transformative manifesto aimed at strengthening unity among alumni, promoting member dignity, fostering intergenerational innovation, and advancing climate resilience, and enhancing USOSA’s national influence.

Central to his vision are initiatives such as a nationwide Legal Aid Fund providing accessible legal support through a network of vetted lawyers, and the USOSA Connect AI platform to facilitate mentorship, job placements, and investment opportunities among members.

The manifesto also proposes an Intergenerational Innovation & Enterprise Fund focused on youth innovation and climate adaptation, featuring a Climate Enterprise Accelerator to train youth-led SMEs and a goal to mobilize $100 million in grants and investments over four years.

On advocacy, Dikwa plans to establish a Policy Advisory Group to develop evidence-based recommendations and strengthen engagement with government and development partners, supported by a Nation-Building Volunteer Corps and a media engagement program to highlight USOSA’s national contributions.

Acknowledging support from the Plateau State Chapter and Jos members, Dikwa announced the immediate formation of a Campaign Council comprising chapter leaders and alumni from across Federal Government Colleges to steer his campaign.

Engr. Abel Imonighavwe, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Federal Government College Old Students Association, praised Dikwa’s previous leadership as President of the Federal Government College Maiduguri Old Students Association.

According to Imonighavwe, Dikwa increased membership, revitalized governance structures, and governed inclusively with integrity and resilience — often using his own resources for association activities and demonstrating a strong commitment to member welfare.

Dikwa’s campaign focuses on professionalizing member services, expanding economic opportunities for younger alumni, and positioning USOSA as a key national partner in policy and development.

Dikwa’s candidacy marks a pivotal moment as USOSA alumni anticipate the leadership of a visionary dedicated to impactful national service and alumni empowerment.
