The Kwara State Police Command is aware of an unfounded allegation of excessive use of force, intimidation, and illegal arrest by Police personnel. The Command categorically rejects and refutes this claim.
For clarity, the individual one Mubarak Abolaji Atilola ‘M’ a 300level Economics student in question was lawfully arrested on the orders of the Mobile Court for the following offences:
1. Moving around during the Environmental Sanitation exercise in violation of existing regulations.

2. Unauthorized phone recording of Mobile Court officials, including Police personnel, without permission.
3. Disrupting the proceedings of the Mobile Court during the enforcement exercise.
In view of these breaches, the Court duly ordered that the defendant be remanded in Police custody until 1st December 2025. However, following an intervention by the defendant’s Faculty Dean, the Court further directed that he be granted administrative bail and released to the said Dean pending his appearance on the stated date.
The Police acted strictly in compliance with the lawful directives of the Mobile Court and at no time engaged in intimidation, abuse of power, or excessive use of force.
