Stakeholders in Imo celebrate Omeogo n’Orlu in style

The assertion by Donald McGannon that “leadership is action, not position” certainly rings true for Hon.

Canice-Moore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu aka Omeogo/Ogbaturuenyi, a member of the House of Representatives. Within a short time in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, he has distinguished himself, showing much action towards the well-being of his constituents.

In recognition of his profound leadership, a grand civic reception was held in his honour on February 2, 2025. It turned out to signal the consistency of CampHope Organization as a veritable machinery for political power engineering in Imo political space. It showcased the incontrovertible testament to the pivotal role of CampHope Organization Worldwide in the politics of Imo State.

The event, hosted by Imo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon. COC Akaolisa, brought together the political juggernauts in the state to honour Hon. Nwachukwu, who  was

described as the emergent “beautiful bride of Imo politics.”

The royal fathers at the reception included Eze Imo, Eze (Dr) E.C. Okeke, chairman, Imo State and South East Council of Traditional Rulers, who blessed the kola, and Eze Douglas Okwara, Okwarachukwu 4, Igwe of Umuna and chairman, Christian Traditional Rulers Association of Nigeria.

The reception showcases CampHope’s strategic political prowess, mobilizing a massive turnout of supporters within few days. The organization’s leadership, comprising Dr Emeka Enyinnia, Hon Prince Ezeala Akano,  Hon Stanford Arinze Nwokedi and Hon. Mrs Kate Osigwe (Mother General CampHope Organization), among others, demonstrated their ability to engineer power politics in Imo State and to remain united with a cult-like devotion and loyalty even beyond election seasons.

The event was attended by top government officials, including the Speaker, Chike Olemgbe, Imo House of Assembly; Hon. Chief Whip, Chigozie Nwaneri, representing Oru East State Constituency; Hon. Ralph Nwosu, Hon. Francis Agabiga of Orsu State Constituency, Hon Barr Nze Ikenna Ihezuo of Orlu State constituency,  Hon. Rex  Anunobi of Industry, Trade And Investment Ministry and the the supreme leader of OPOCA High Command; Hon. Ifeanyi Oruh of Rural Development and Economic Empowerment; Dr. Austin Onyedebelu, managing director of ISOPADEC; executive chairmen of Oru East and Orsu LGAs; Chief Kingsley Ononuju (Ekwedashike) of IROMA, Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nzekwe of FOMIHA, Hon. Eric Uwakwe, Chief Charles Ogu, Chief Dona Nwaogu and Nze Chinasa Nwaneri, among others. Also present were Hon. Jeff Ukachukwu and Omeogo’s confessed ally – Hon Uchenna Uzodimma (state leader). Both agreed that Omeogo has performed excellently as a federal representative and joined Ezinwanne N’Orsu, Chief Barr COC Akaolisa, Ralph Nwosu, Etiokwe Njaba and Sir Ifeanyi Oruh in financially motivating CampHope Organization in a prayer/fasting programme for Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftains were also well-represented, with the state organizing secretary, Chief Iyke Umeh, and the state woman leader, Chief (Mrs) Ifeoma Ndukwu (Ugomsinachi), in attendance. Orlu APC zonal chairman, Kelvin Ugwu, led the APC party chairmen and secretaries of all the local government areas in Orlu zone to the event. Orlu LGA party chairman, Hon. Stanley Nwosu (Ochinanwata N’Orlu), who spoke on behalf of Orlu APC, voiced out the party’s absolute confidence in Hon. Nwachukwu after enumerating his achievements as a member of the House of Representatives. They include regular distribution of solar powered floodlight, skill-based, cash and sundry empowerments of rural constituents, massive food palliatives sharing that goes on in the federal constituency, sharing of water boreholes and building of schools, among others.

The occasion was marked by a rain of eulogies as every speaker commended Nwachukwu’s selflessness, rapid delivery on electoral promises and evident sagacity in maintaining political relationships across the state. They include Sir George Eguh, Chief Dona Nwaogu and others.

Akaolisa emphasized the need for CampHope Organization’s ideology, which had never been tailored for mere political electioneering, to remain sustained beyond 2027, stressing that the organization remains a key player in Imo State’s political landscape. He said: “Nobody, including those scheming in Abuja, can come down to Imo State to steal political power without being trusted by CampHope Organization. Let  me make it clear: At the right time, our father and the governor of Imo State shall speak. We are alive to ensure that his leadership sustains Imo State.”

The event witnessed the cementing of synergies between CampHope and OPOCA High Command, with the attendance of the supreme leader of OPOCA High Command who proposed it. The reception was a celebration of Nwachukwu’s successes as the General Overseer of CampHope Organization, Command and Control Worldwide, and as member of House of Representatives representing  Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency.

Hon. Stanford Nwokedi said: “Omeogo n’Orlu is a worthy representative of the people. He is a selfless goal-getter; a people-centred politician who is truly the bride of Imo Politics. His delivery on electoral promises is second to none.”

Overwhelmed by the support and commendations, the federal lawmaker expressed his gratitude for the honour done to him, thanking God first for making the day possible. He expressed his absolute loyalty to Gov. Uzodimma for his confidence in him and for his leadership that brought together the creme de la creme of Imo politicians under the APC umbrella. He also expressed his indebtedness to Akaolisa for surpassing his expectations and thanked the members of CampHope Organization in attendance for honouring him.
