Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFON, Kwara State Branch, on Wednesday bestowed its patronage upon the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Adisa Mogaji, a distinguished figure in the realm of squash.
This development transpired following the recent christening of the state-of-the-art squash facility, a part of the numerous sports infrastructure enhancements undertaken by Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq at the Godwin Agbazika Innih Stadium in Ilorin, in honor of Mogaji.
Prince Ademola Kiyesola, the Chairman of YSFON, expressed during the investiture that Mogaji’s substantial contributions to sports in Kwara and Nigeria as a whole justified the bestowal of this honor upon him.
Highlighting that the investiture signifies a pivotal step towards reshaping and reinvigorating YSFON Kwara for a more profound impact on grassroots sports development.
In response to the bestowed honor, Bola Mogaji conveyed his gratitude to the members of YSFON and pledged to collaborate with the association in uncovering latent talents at the grassroots level.
He further urged the YSFON Chairman in Kwara to persist in championing sports in the region and across Nigeria.
The investiture ceremony was graced by various dignitaries, including the Director of Sports at the Kwara Sports Commission, Mallam Bako Ibrahim, the former Director of Sports at the Kwara State Sports Council, Tunde Kazeem, former Permanent Secretary Gesinde Adedeji Fregene, and other esteemed members of YSFON.
