Silva Tells Samuel Chukwueze What To Do To Get Permanent Deal At Fulham

Fulham head coach, Marco Silva, has called on winger Samuel Chukwueze to maintain his work ethic if he hopes to secure a permanent move to Craven Cottage.

Chukwueze, currently on loan from Serie A side AC Milan, has yet to start a Premier League match since joining the Whites. The loan deal includes an option to buy the Nigerian international for around €23 million. Despite limited game time, he has already contributed two assists in five league appearances.

“Too early, but of course we all recognise the quality that Chukwueze has,” Silva said ahead of Fulham’s London derby against Tottenham Hotspur. “We go in the direction to see consistency in the way he’s going to perform, to train every single day, and after, the physical aspect of the Premier League.”

Meanwhile, Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka has looked back on his loan spell at Bundesliga outfit Augsburg as a key period in his development.

The 27-year-old Nigerian midfielder featured in 31 league games during the 2024-2025 campaign before returning to make a strong impact under Brentford manager Keith Andrews.

Onyeka has made nine appearances across all competitions for the Bees this season, providing two assists. Reflecting on his time in Germany, he said, “People often say that in the Bundesliga, players run a lot compared to the Premier League. When I got there, I felt it. They always want to go forward with every ball.”
