Siblings accused of assault in Kano

Three members of a family have been arraigned before a Kano Upper Shari’a Court, Gezawa for allegedly assaulting a housewife and her husband.

The suspects, Bayero Damina, Tasi’u Damina and Yahaya Damina allegedly went to the house of the woman and beat her to a pulp and inflicted serious injuries including three fractures on her hands and leg, while her husband who attempted to come to her rescue was also left with bruises and bone injuries.

They were charged with conspiracy to commit crime, trespass, inflicting serious injuries and intimidation, to which they all pleaded guilty.

Khadi Nura Yusuf Ahmad adjourned the case till February 20 for re-arraignment and review of the complainants’ health condition.
