Shettima Joins Africa’s Mineral Development Roundtable at UNGA



Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has kicked off his engagements at the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York by attending a high-level roundtable hosted by the Africa Minerals Strategy Group, focusing on critical minerals development in Africa.

According to Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima’s spokesman, in a post on X: “Vice President Kashim Shettima is participating in the Africa Minerals Strategy Group roundtable on critical minerals development, chaired by Nigeria’s Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake.”

The session brought together government officials, diplomats, industry leaders, and private sector representatives to discuss strategies for advancing Africa’s mineral sector.
