Media personality Shade Ladipo has apologised to singer Tiwa Savage for her past remarks following the leak of the singer’s private video in 2021.
In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Ladipo admitted she had wrongly criticised Tiwa and unfairly blamed her for the incident.
She reflected on her behaviour and acknowledged that her reaction at the time was inappropriate and lacked empathy.

“I was one of the people who blasted Tiwa Savage when that s3x tape came out. I’ll be honest. I blamed her. I was like, you know what? How can you be over 40? Cause we are mates and you’re still messing around with people like this,” Ladipo confessed.
Looking back, she expressed regret for her harsh words and conveyed understanding of Tiwa’s pain. “In hindsight, I wonder why I was blaming her so hard for something that happened to her. I felt her pain. And I just want to say to you, I love you. I’m sorry!”
The apology comes years after Tiwa raised concerns that she was being blackmailed over the private video, which first made headlines in October 2021.
