Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman shut criticism with his top notch performance in Atalanta’s 5-0 triumph over Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Sunday.
The Nigerian forward was instrumental in his team’s dominant display, scoring two goals and contributing to a goal.
Lookman found the net in the 43rd minute with a well-timed finish, adding to Atalanta’s lead after an earlier own goal by Emmanuel Gyasi and a strike from Mateo Retegui.
In the second half, the Nigerian international also scored another goal in the 55th minute.
While Zappacosta scored the 5th in the 74th minute of the game.
This performance comes after his recent Champions League disappointment, where he had a penalty saved in Atalanta’s 3-1 defeat to Club Brugge.
However, he has responded in style, proving his quality and determination in Serie A action.
