Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, has offered full scholarships to five students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna, who were victims of a bandit attack on the school.
It will be recalled that bandits stormed the school on 5th July 2021, abducting 121 students.
While all the abducted students have since regained their freedom and graduated, five students are still studying at the school.
Senator Katung announced the scholarship during a fundraising programme organised by the Kaduna Baptist Conference for the rebuilding of Bethel Baptist High School.
He pledged to cover the students’ tuition fees from secondary school through to university.
“From today, my education foundation will take full responsibility for their education from now up to university level,” Senator Katung stated.
