In a heartwarming display of compassion and commitment to the welfare of his people, Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai representing Yobe South Senatorial district has given the sum of one million Naira each to five female constituents to improve their livelihoods in starting up small-scale businesses. The donation was presented through the senator’s aides at his Potiskum residence.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Senator Bomai, stating that the gesture will significantly enhance their business prospects. This recent empowerment drive is part of Senator Bomai’s broader initiative to support entrepreneurs in Yobe South, where he has disbursed financial support to 43 entrepreneurs, primarily youths and women, with each beneficiary receiving between N1 million and N2 million to boost their businesses.
Senator Bomai’s philanthropic efforts extend beyond business empowerment, as he has also renovated the Potiskum Skills Acquisition Center, providing state-of-the-art facilities for skills acquisition and training.
Facilitated capacity building and empowerment programs for youths through organizations like the NCC and NEDC, Sponsored women and youths to access credit facilities worth millions of Naira, Provided relief support to flood victims in five wards of Potiskum and Nangere local government areas, donating N20 million and relief materials.
