Security operatives successfully thwarted an attempted bandit attack in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Seecurity analyst Zagazola Makama on his X handle on Monday.
Makama reported that the incident occurred on Friday, August 16, at approximately 9:45 p.m., following a distress call that armed bandits were advancing towards Ruwan Sanyi in Unguwar Makera Village.

“Troops Of Operation FANSAN YANMA, Working Jointly With The Police And Vigilante Members, Quickly Mobilised To The Area, Leading To A Fierce Gun Battle That Forced The Bandits To Abandon Their Mission To Kidnap Residents And Rustle Livestock,” Makama stated.
He added that two residents, Muhammad Inuwa and Babale Abdulkarim, sustained leg injuries during the attack. The victims were promptly taken to Malumfashi General Hospital, where they are receiving treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.
Makama further noted that security forces have extended patrols to Garin Gafa in Kafur Local Government Area to track down the fleeing suspects.
