SCGN Hosts 2025 President’s Dinner, Induction Ceremony, Welcomes New Members


The Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN) on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, hosted its 2025 President’s Dinner and Induction Ceremony in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The annual gathering convened board members, senior executives, policymakers, investors, governance professionals, and institutional partners for an evening dedicated to strengthening conversations around corporate governance in Nigeria and advancing excellence in leadership.

A major highlight of the night was the Conferment of Fellowship Awards on seven distinguished professionals celebrated for their contributions to ethical leadership and the advancement of corporate governance standards.

The awardees included, Dr. Segun Ogunsanya, Board Chair, Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), Mrs. Suzanne Iroche**, Independent Non-Executive Director, UAC of Nigeria Plc, Dr. Emma FitzGerald, Independent Non-Executive Director, Seplat Energy, Ms. Rabi Isma**, Independent Non-Executive Director, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Ms. Koosum Kaylan**, Independent Non-Executive Director, Seplat Energy, Mrs. Olusola David-Borha**, Board Chair, Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc and Dr. Salamtu Hussaini Suleiman, Non-Executive Director, FMN Agro (Flour Mills of Nigeria Agro).

These leaders were honoured for their outstanding impact in strengthening governance systems, fostering transparency, and championing responsible business practices across various sectors.

The ceremony also featured the induction of new individual and corporate members into SCGN’s expanding network of governance practitioners. The Society noted that its membership programmes, professional development initiatives, and thought-leadership platforms remain central to its mission of equipping leaders with the competencies and relationships needed to enhance organisational performance and sustainability.
