Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that Reds star player Mohamed Salah will be released for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations duty for Egypt on December 15.
Recall that the tournament will kick off on December 21 and end on January 18, 2026.
However, Egypt’s tournament preparations kick off this Wednesday with a training camp. Their first friendly will be held on December 10 against Nigeria.
Speaking ahead of the team’s Premier League clash against Sunderland at Anfield, the Dutch tactician, in a chat with the club’s website, stated Liverpool will release Salah on December 15.

“He’ll go on December 15.
“The way we have worked is that there’s a communication between all three – the player, the club and country. That’s nothing new. But FIFA have said December 15 is last day player has to be released.
