Sage Grey Finance Limited, a regulated financial institution with a strong track record in lending, investments, fund management and strategic advisory services, has appointed Mrs. Egbichi Akinsanya as an Independent Non-Executive Director. The appointment, which has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria, became effective on July 3, 2025.
Egbichi Akinsanya joins the Board of Sage Grey Finance Limited with over 35 years of rich, cross-sector experience in Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Marketing finance, Treasury and General Management across both the public and private sectors.
Mrs. Akinsanya began her career at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Nigeria, where she worked in core finance and corporate finance roles, before moving on to Citibank Nigeria and British American Tobacco in various senior finance capacities. She later served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer at FBC Beverages Company Limited. She has served on boards and currently is an Independent Non-Executive Director on the boards of FMDQ Group Plc and Learn Africa Plc.
In addition to her corporate accomplishments, Mrs. Akinsanya is deeply passionate about youth development and social impact, having actively participated in mentorship initiatives, civic engagement projects such as the Nigeria 2025 Visioning Project and various charitable endeavours including the Sickle Cell Foundation of Nigeria and Church-based social support groups.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Public Administration from the University of London (Bedford College, now Royal Holloway) and the professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators UK (ICSA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
