Rudeboy vows legal action over defamatory allegations by X user

Nigerian music star Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy of the defunct P-Square group, has threatened to take legal action after a social-media user accused him of misconduct involving a domestic worker.

The controversy began after photos from the 25th birthday celebration of Rudeboy’s wife, Ivy Ifeoma, circulated on X (formerly Twitter). An account identified as @chubbiedivah alleged that the singer had coerced a household staff member and implied she was underage at the time.

Another user, @darkskinnedtemi, who describes herself as a feminist, further amplified the claim with critical remarks, drawing attention from fans who eventually flagged the post to the singer.

Reacting angrily, Rudeboy vowed to track down the poster, warning that he would use every resource at his disposal to ensure legal consequences. “You will face the law, I will use you to set an example, a scapegoat,” he wrote.

Following his response, the account @chubbiedivah deactivated its X handle, a move seen as an attempt to avoid further fallout.

The allegation and subsequent reaction have since generated heated debate among social-media users, with supporters backing Rudeboy and others urging caution until facts are established.

As of press time, no formal legal proceedings had been confirmed by the singer or his representatives.
