Roma director Frederic Massara has travelled to London for key meetings over potential moves for Jadon Sancho and Chelsea youngster Tyrique George, both of whom share the same agent.
Despite suggesting last week that Roma had abandoned their pursuit of Sancho due to the Manchester United winger’s lack of motivation, Massara is making a final attempt to persuade him.
Coach Gian Piero Gasperini remains keen on the deal, and with United eager to offload the England international, Roma see one last chance to strike.
Sancho has yet to commit either way, with his indecision frustrating club officials. Massara’s face-to-face talks are seen as a decisive effort to get clarity.
Meanwhile, Roma are also exploring the option of 19-year-old George, who can play across the front three and is regarded as one of Chelsea’s top academy talents.
The England youth international is being lined up as an alternative should Sancho continue to stall.
