Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has assured that political stability has fully returned to the state.
He also added that he now enjoys a good working relationship with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
The governor made the remarks in an interview with State House correspondents shortly after visiting President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

President Tinubu received Fubara on Monday, in what sources described as a cordial meeting aimed at consolidating peace and development in Rivers State.
“I don’t know what you mean by if this is a paper peace.
“As far as I’m concerned, we have made peace. Fubara and his principal are working together,” the governor said, confirming the resolution of the crisis that previously rocked the state.
He also emphasized the importance of collaboration for governance, stating, “We are committed to working hand in hand with all stakeholders to ensure that Rivers State remains stable and development-oriented.”
“There is no room for political distractions now,” he added.
Fubara expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his mediation and guidance in restoring stability.
“We are thankful to Mr. President for his role in ensuring Rivers State enjoys peace and development. His support has been invaluable,” he added.
The governor further assured citizens that the government’s focus is now on progress, saying, “Our administration will prioritize projects that improve the lives of our people.
“With peace restored, we can now concentrate on delivering tangible results for Rivers State.”
