Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has relieved all commissioners and other public officers affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment of their appointments with immediate effect.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday, October 1, by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, in Port Harcourt.
Speaking during a valedictory session with members of his cabinet at Government House, Port Harcourt, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, Governor Fubara expressed gratitude to the outgoing commissioners for their services and contributions to the development of the State over the last two years.
The governor underscored the significance of Nigeria’s independence and urged citizens to join hands with President Bola Tinubu in building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous nation.
