Rihanna speaks after A$AP Rocky’s acquittal in gun assault case

Barbados singer Rihanna has spoken after her partner A$AP Rocky was acquitted in a 2021 gun assault case.

A$AP Rocky was cleared of all charges by members of the jury in the high-profile trial which revolved around allegations made by A$AP Relli and involved conflicting narratives about the confrontation and the use of a firearm.

Taking to social media, Rihanna expressed appreciation to God, saying the glory belongs to Him.

“The Glory belongs to God and God alone. THANKFUL, HUMBLED BY HIS MERCY!”, she penned on her Instagram stories.

Entertainment Tonight reports that as A$AP Rocky made his way out of the courtroom, Rihanna sighed a breath of relief and said: “Oh my God.”

After the jury gave its verdict, A$AP Rocky hugged the ‘Umbrella’ crooner and his mother. He stated that the ruling had returned his life to him.

“This whole experience has been crazy these last four years. But I’m thankful, nonetheless, and blessed to be here right now, to be a free man talking to you,” he said.
