Rep Member Bamisile Hails Fayose At 65

House of Representatives member, Hon Femi Bamisile, has rejoiced with the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Ayodele Fayose, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

Bamisile, a former speaker, said Fayose’s political relevance and social recognition as a statesman have also gathered more traction, not only on the premise of his superlative contributions to Ekiti’s development, but also for his unflagging support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji, who is regarded as the new face of the masses.

The former speaker gave the commendation in his congratulatory message released through his Media Office in Abuja, on Saturday.

In his tribute, Bamisile branded Fayose as a principled and vociferous leader who is not always distracted by negative voices, saying he always pursues his ideals and goals based on personal convictions.

The representative of the Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, remarked that history will continually be kind to Fayose as a leader, who pursued the development of the state with vigour and passion.

He said Fayose’s brand of politics is mass-driven, and this earned him the sobriquet: “Ore Mekunnu”(a friend of the poor), saying the former governor will continue to be a source of inspiration to upcoming politicians, because of the lessons inherent in his political trajectory and evolution.

Bamisile added that Fayose’s mastery of politics and elevation in the art of public speaking, fraternity, and engagements have carved a niche for him in Ekiti and Nigeria’s political firmament.

He relished how Fayose spearheaded the modern Ekiti by embarking on landmark projects that opened up the State to modernity and investment opportunities, saying some of these projects remain the flagships and epicentre of description for the state till today.

“Let me, on behalf of my family and supporters across the state, congratulate former Governor Ayodele Fayose, as he clocks 65.

“As a statesman, former Governor Fayose has a lot of positive accomplishments to his name. He did a lot of projects that earned him respect and immortality in the minds of the populace. Even his ardent critics and opponents can’t deny this fact.

“But the most enduring legacy he is presently carving for himself is his support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji despite political differences. This has elevated his respect and stature among the populace, because the incumbent is now regarded as the new face of the masses.

“I want to sincerely celebrate him on this occasion and pray to God to grant him long life and sound mental stamina to be able to contribute more to the growth of our dear country, state, and humanity in general”.
