Renault Shines In Abuja As Coscharis Motors Unveils All- New Koleos, Kardian At 25th Abuja International Motor Fair

Coscharis Motors, the exclusive representative of the Renault brand in Nigeria, has unveiled two new models – the all-new Renault Koleos and Renault Kardian – at the 25th Abuja International Motor Fair, reaffirming its drive to expand Nigeria’s automotive options with stylish, durable and technologically advanced vehicles.

The unveiling, held at the Eagle Square, Abuja, was performed by the Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Otunba Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, who was joined by several dignitaries at the Coscharis pavilion.

The event marked a major highlight of the week-long motor fair co-organised by BKG Exhibitions and the NADDC.

Mr Abiona Babarinde, General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications for the Coscharis Group, while speaking at the launch, explained that the introduction of the new Koleos and Kardian aligns with the company’s strategy to enrich Nigeria’s motoring landscape with globally acclaimed auto solutions.

He described the two models as a blend of cutting-edge technology, safety, engineering finesse and modern design – tailored specifically for Nigerian consumers.

“Coscharis is super excited to deliver these two new variants from our Renault brand to the Nigerian market at this time of the year where both private and public sector players can end the year with a purchase of a brand new vehicle,” Babarinde said.

Highlighting the timing, he added that the launch presents an opportunity for fleet buyers preparing their 2026 procurement plans. He assured prospective buyers of a comprehensive support package backed by Renault’s global standards.

“With our Renault partner, we will deliver ‘peace of mind’ on every purchase – backed by a three-year warranty, availability of original parts installed with the right tools by certified Renault technicians. We also have a robust finance scheme through Coscharis Mobility, making ownership more financially friendly,” he said.

One of the major highlights of the exhibition was the exclusive test drive conducted by the NADDC DG, who took both vehicles on a performance tour within the exhibition grounds.

Osanipin expressed delight at the vehicles’ performance, noting that he was impressed by their power, refined handling and engineering quality.

“The two Renault vehicles are well balanced, smooth, and deliver an enjoyable drive within the short time I drove them. I commend both Coscharis and Renault for these new additions to their portfolio,” he said.

He further urged Coscharis Motors to consider adding the newly launched models to its local assembly operations in Lagos, emphasising that producing the vehicles locally would reduce retail prices and deepen local content in line with the Federal Government’s automotive policy.

“My wish is that these two models will be added to existing models already being assembled locally. This will make them more affordable and strengthen Nigeria’s automotive sector,” he stated.

During her presentation, Ms Leticia Onuzulike, Sales Manager, Coscharis Motors, highlighted key features of the new models.

She described the Renault Koleos as a refined midsize SUV that combines premium comfort, robust performance, advanced driver-assist technologies and a commanding presence suitable for both city roads and off-road adventures.

The Renault Kardian, on the other hand, was presented as a dynamic compact SUV designed for agility, fuel economy, connectivity and youthful appeal—targeted at modern motorists seeking versatility and style.

Coscharis Motors invited industry stakeholders and car enthusiasts to visit its pavilion for a closer look at the newly launched models and other vehicles on display.

The company reiterated its longstanding dedication to providing Nigerians with world-class automotive choices supported by strong after-sales service, nationwide service centres and a team of certified technicians.

It added that the Abuja International Motor Fair continues to play a pivotal role in deepening automotive growth in Nigeria, promoting collaboration and advancing the country’s automotive development and assembly vision.
