Regina Daniels’ brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, has reportedly been granted bail after spending several weeks in police detention.

According to reports, Sammy was granted bail in the sum of ₦5 million by a magistrate’s court following allegations of conspiracy, assault, and theft filed against him by Senator. Ned Nwoko.

His release comes amid growing public attention and social media calls demanding justice, with supporters using the hashtag #FreeSammy.

Recall that Sammy West was arrested just days after a video of Regina Daniels surfaced online, showing the actress in tears while alleging domestic violence.

Tensions between both families have reportedly been escalating for some time, fueled by a series of online statements and counter-allegations, including claims by Senator Ned Nwoko linking Regina to alleged involvement with drugs.

According to a family source, the senator is allegedly seeking to involve the NDLEA in a new case against Sammy West, accusing him of supplying drugs to Regina Daniels, despite his recent release on bail.

However, it was pointed out that magistrate courts lack jurisdiction over drug-related offenses, which fall exclusively under the purview of the Federal High Court.
