Reel Love: Timini Egbuson, Bimbo Ademoye, others shine at premiere

True to expectation, the premiere of Reel Love, a romance-themed movie turned out to be a star-studded event. 

Held last Sunday, at the Filmhouse IMAX Cinema, premiere of movie produced by Timini Egbuson and directed by Kayode Kasum, brought together top celebrities, industry figures, and influencers.

Reel Love boasts an impressive cast, including Funke Akindele, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, TJ Omusuku, Atlanta Bridget Johnson, Jay On Air, Hermes Iyele, Bimbo Ademoye and Timini Egbuson. 

The movie explores the complexities of love, relationships, and the impact of social media on romance. 

The premiere was attended by Nollywood’s finest, including Mike Afolarin, Uzee Usman, Idia Aisien, Sandra Okonzuwa, Tomi Ojo, Lily Afe, Ruth Kadiri, Saga Adeolu, Bisola Aiyeola, Stan Nze, and Folu Storms, among others.

Reflecting on her first feature film performance, supporting lead actor TJ Omusuku said: “Being part of Reel Love was nothing short of magical. It’s a story that mirrors the beauty and challenges of love in today’s world, and I couldn’t have asked for a better debut. I hope audiences see themselves in our characters and walk away believing in love again.”

Dakore Egbuson-Akande, an executive producer and a member of the cast, highlighted the film’s creative brilliance, saying: “This project is a perfect blend of heartfelt storytelling and masterful execution. The way Reel Love captures modern love dynamics is truly special, and I believe people will connect deeply with its message.”

With its heartfelt storyline, stellar performances, and a fresh take on modern romance, Reel Love started airing in cinemas across Nigeria on the 14th of February.
