The Ar-Raheemfadilah (Super “R”) Halal Charity and Dawah Organization Sunday said no fewer than 100 vulnerable Muslims will benefit from its daily (iftar) feeding programme in the holy month of Ramadan.
Founder of the organisation, Abdulrahman Olayinka, while speaking in Abuja Sunday at the 2nd Pre-Ramadan Lecture and Launching of 2025 Ramadan Feeding, stated that the initiative was borne out of the need to give to the less privileged.
The organisation said its position was informed by the high rate of inflation and high cost of food and other essential commodities.
Olayinka noted that the feeding program is geared towards helping the Muslim community, especially the vulnerable and those that are in dire need of livelihood to be able to fast in the month of Ramadan, which is a blessed month of giving, blessing and charity.
He further stated that the feeding program which began in 2019 fed 10-30 people daily, but now aims to support 100 vulnerable people around the various communities within the country, and if possible, outside the shores of Nigeria.
“We donate towards this program and project and we have been moving forward from 2019 till now. We hope we can collaborate for many Nigerians and people that are very rich and ready to support Muslims and Islamic programmes to ensure that many of the vulnerable people, especially the orphans, the widows and the less privileged within and around the various communities will be served.
“We are looking at raising the bar beyond what we had last year, which was N700-N800 to feed a person fasting during this month of Ramadan.
“Cumulatively, we are looking at it to feed 100 people fasting with N1, 000 each day throughout the month of Ramadan for 30 days, which will amount to N3 million,” he added.
