Ramadan 1446AH: Pray For Peace, Unity Prosperity, Radda Urges Muslims

4 hours ago 19

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, admonished Muslims to use the Ramadan period for spiritual reflection, increase devotion and acts of charity that align with the teachings of Islam.

This is contained in a Ramadan statement made available to newsmen by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor in Katsina on Friday.

The Governor extends warm congratulations to the Muslim Ummah in Katsina State on the commencement of the blessed month of Ramadan 1446AH.

“As we welcome this blessed month of mercy and forgiveness, I urge all Muslims to renew their commitment to Allah and embrace the spiritual opportunities that Ramadan presents,” Radda stated.

He declared that his administration has made arrangements to launch the Food Support Program 2.0 that was successfully implemented during last year’s Ramadan.

“We have put measures in place to sustain our Food Support Program, ensuring that vulnerable citizens across the state receive assistance that enables them to observe their fasting with dignity”, he maintained.

Governor Radda said supporting the less privileged during Ramadan fulfills an important Islamic obligation and reflects the spirit of brotherhood that the holy month promotes.

He therefore charged the citizens to use this period to pray for peace, unity, prosperity, and divine guidance for Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.

“May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds during this blessed month, and grant us the strength to fulfill our obligations in ways that pleases Him,” Governor Radda concluded.
