Addressing Nigerians during the visit, the President urged the public to remain patient and hopeful as his government continues to implement policies aimed at reviving the economy.
“Nigeria’s economy just turned a corner, and you will receive prosperity. Those speaking negatively about this country should stop doing so,” Tinubu said. “Just be patient, as all Nigerians will feel the prosperity in due time. Don’t be corrupt.”
The President’s visit to Owerri follows his recent remarks at the coronation of Oba Rasheed Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, where he expressed optimism about the country’s economic trajectory.
During that event, Tinubu stated that Nigeria’s economy had “turned for good” and assured citizens that there was light at the end of the tunnel.
He emphasized that the nation has already begun witnessing signs of growth and prosperity, calling on Nigerians to trust the process and work collectively towards national progress.
The President’s statements underscore his continued appeal for patience and support as his administration advances economic reforms aimed at achieving long-term stability and development.
