Former Oyo Central Senator, Oloye Teslim Kolawole Folarin, OFR, has cautioned the public against a fraudulent Snapchat account created in his name to defraud unsuspecting individuals.

In a statement, the lawmaker clarified that he does not own or operate any Snapchat account and therefore could not be behind any messages soliciting financial assistance on the platform.

“My attention has been drawn to a fraudulent Snapchat account created in my name, through which unsuspecting members of the public are being contacted and asked for financial assistance. I hereby state clearly that I do not own or operate any Snapchat account,” Senator Folarin said.

He described the activities as the handiwork of fraudsters and urged members of the public to disregard such requests, stressing that they should remain vigilant against online scams.

The senator reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining transparency and credibility in public service, warning that his name must not be associated with fraudulent activities.

“Please be guided accordingly,” he concluded.
