Prime Day’s best cheap gaming laptop deal has just landed – and it’s perfect for those on a budget

It’s that time of the year again, when a plethora of deals are available for some of the best gaming laptops available, and I’ve found the Acer Nitro V 15 RTX 4050 gaming laptop, which is now available for just $599 (previously $749.99), with a 20% discount making it the cheapest Nvidia-powered gaming laptop you’ll find this Prime Day.

The UK model features an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor instead of the Intel Core i5-13420H, which is also on sale for £749.99 (previously £899.99), with a slightly smaller 17% discount.

There will be plenty of gaming laptop deals to go around this Amazon Prime Day, many of which will be huge discounts on more expensive offerings, but for those on a budget, the Acer Nitro V 15 should be right up your alley. While 8GB GPUs may seem weak, they’re enough to get the job done at a 1080p resolution, and this system should do just that.

The Acer Nitro V 15 recently had a refresh with the RTX 5050 GPU replacing the RTX 4050, and that helps users step up from regular Frame Generation to Multi Frame Generation, but don’t let that throw you off from a purchase here.

The RTX 4050 is still more than capable of providing good performance when playing at more reasonable graphics settings in the most demanding games, and using DLSS 4 to your advantage. It’s not wild to be thrown off by 8GB laptop GPUs due to the increasing hardware demands in new games, but having used an 8GB laptop, I promise you it’s not as bad as you may think.

Acquiring good gaming performance across the board is indeed possible, and DLSS 4 will play a crucial part in games like Cyberpunk 2077, and the same goes for many other big titles.
