As the prices of other commodities have continued to rise in the country, prices of cement also rose.
A market survey in Enugu metropolis shows that no cement sells below N9,000.
Their prices vary between N9,500 and N10,500.
Supaset and Nicem Cement sell between N9, 700 and N9,800.
However, a trader said his own Nicem Cement is sold for N10,500 but generally, cement prices are hovering between N9,600 and N9,700.
“The price is going up, last month we sold N9,300 and N9,400 but now it has risen. Instead of going down, the price seems to be rising,” a trader said.
It was however, discovered that Dangote, Burham and Ibeto cements are scace in Enugu, leaving predominantly, Supaset and Nicem.
