Panic As Gunmen Kidnap PDP Chieftain In Benue

Punch Metro reports that some gunmen on Sunday abducted a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Benue State, Ben Akile.

The party chieftain, according to sources was travelling in the same vehicle with the party’s legal adviser, Mue when the gunmen attacked their vehicle at Mbatom village along Katsina Ala-Zaki Biam road.

The state publicity secretary of the party, Bemgba Ioryyom confirmed the incident and said that the vehicle in which the people were travelling was abandoned at the scene.

The party men were reported to be travelling to a meeting convened by the senator representing Benue North East, Gabriel Suswam.
