By - - [ Update ]

Arsenal will on Saturday afternoon clash with Newcastle United in the English Premier League (EPL) fixture at the St. James’ Park Stadium.

The North London club head to the game following a 3-2 victory against Cardiff City in their last EPL fixture.

The Gunners manager, Unai Emery must decide between strikers, Aubameyang and Lacazette, who should start, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Alex Iwobi, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil will all fight for a place in the midfield.

Lucas Torreira may be made to wait a little longer for his full debut after returning from international duty with a minor calf problem.

Meanwhile, Newcastle head to the game after losing 2-1 against Manchester City in their last EPL encounter.

The Magpies won Arsenal 2-1 last season to end a 10-match losing run against the Emirates club in the Premier League, courtesy of goals from Perez and Ritchie.

Newcastle coach, Rafael Benitez is optimistic that Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Ritchie will be back from injury after being give a two-week rest.

Benitez is also expected to retain his five-man backline, which could be bolstered by the return of Fabian Schar alongside skipper Jamaal Lascelles and Ciaran Clark.

Salomon Rondon has now cemented the centre-forward position, so Kenedy, Ayoze Perez and Jacob Murphy could be left to battle it out for inclusion in the other attacking berth.

Newcastle United’s potential starting XI: Dubravka; Yedlin, Schar, Lascelles, Clark, Dummett; Murphy, Diame, Shelvey, Kenedy; Rondon

Arsenal’s potential starting XI: Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Sokratis, Monreal; Guendouzi, Xhaka; Ozil, Ramsey, Aubameyang; Lacazette

The kick-off time for the match is 3pm.
