Chelsea loanee Alvaro Morata has expressed his desire to finish his career at his boyhood club Atletico Madrid
The 26-year-old forward joined the La Liga side on loan for 18 months during the January transfer window and has since scored six goals in 17 appearances.
Prior to his switch to Spain Morata, who joined the Blues for £70.6million from Real Madrid in 2017, struggled for form at Stamford Bridge and now he has indicated that he wants to remain at Atletico.
I have been clear that I want to be here. It's not even in my head to leave this club,' he told Marca.
'I want it to be resolved as soon as possible, I'm happy here, I want to be here for all the years I have left as a professional.
'If it was solely down to me, I would have signed my contract with Atletico Madrid.
'I did everything possible to come here and I will do my best to stay.'
Morata started his career in Atletico's youth ranks before moving on to Getafe and then Real Madrid.
