National Assembly and Chairman Senate Committee on FCT  and Senator representing Kogi West has asked that the Nigeria Police Force undergo reformation.

In his tweet, he stated that reforming the police, especially the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, was necessary as they currently pose a threat to the lives of the citizenry.

Melaye who is known on social media as 'the dancing senator'  urged the acting Inspector General of Police, IGP, Adamu Mohammed to reform the Force in order to redeem the image of the police.

According to Melaye: “There is no better time to reform the police especially SARS than now. The IGP must redeem the battered image of the Force. It is becoming unbecoming.

“The Lives of Nigerians should be precious to all. Enough of indiscriminate Killings. – SDM.”
