
The Anambra State Police Command has reacted to a viral video in which a young lady recounted the brutal killing of her brother by suspected kidnappers.
Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, said the state Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, condemned the attack, describing it as a “heartless and barbaric act.”
“The CP, while expressing condolences to the grieving family and the people of Amansea, has directed operatives of the State Intelligence Department to locate the survivor and assist in the ongoing investigation,” Ikenga stated.
He added that the Command urged residents to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative by providing credible information that could help bring the perpetrators to justice.
The police further reiterated their commitment to fighting kidnapping and violent crimes in the state, assuring citizens that the protection of lives and property remains a top priority.
“The Command remains resolute in its fight against criminal activities and will not spare anyone found engaging in such barbaric acts,” the statement added.
