Police raid criminal hideouts along rail line

The Lagos State Police Command has conducted a series of raids on criminal hideouts along the rail line stretching from Apapa to Agege.

The Commissioner of Police (CP), Adegoke Fayoade, said the raids would be continuous until the entire stretch of the rail line became crime free.

The CP, while giving reason for the operation, said he received a series of complaints of harassment and petty robberies along the rail line, particularly in Agege.

He added that, “I have charged DPOs and their officers within the vicinity to ensure optimal provision of security.”
