The police in Lagos have arrested two suspects, Okey Bright, popularly called B in Fine Boy, and Daniel Prince, aka Rugged Promotion, over suspected involvement in cultism.
In a Thursday statement shared on its Facebook page, the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the state police command said the suspects were arrested in the early hours of Monday, February 10.
The RRS said Bright, 21, and Prince, 22, were arrested around 4:00 a.m. while they were returning from their confraternity’s annual conference at a hotel (name withheld) located in Lekki.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that Bright, a resident of Ikoyi, joined the confraternity in 2024. He is a university student.
“Prince, who goes by the alias “Rugged Promotion”, is a hair stylist and a university student,” the statement reads in part.
The RRS said their arrest was prompted by the suspicious movement of one of the suspects, Daniel Prince, who was carrying a cross bag.
“In Prince’s bag, the operatives discovered caps associated with the confraternity, leading to the immediate arrest of both suspects.
“The arrest reinforces the ongoing efforts of the state command to curb cult related activities and maintain law and order in the state.
“The suspects have been transferred to CP’s Special Squad for further investigations,” the statement further reads.
