Police arrest 149 suspects in Kano

The police command in Kano State said it arrested 149 suspects over alleged armed robbery, thuggery, kidnapping and other related crimes in the past 10 days.

The command’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna, who disclosed this while addressing newsmen on Thursday, said, “We also recovered one pump action rifle, two vehicles, eight motorcycles, 58 knives and 87 parcels of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

“Others are 23 cell phones, 13 cartons of Indomie and 67 silver rings.

“All the suspects confessed to belonging to syndicates engaged in crime.” (NAN)
