Plateau State aims to maximise the economic and tourism potential of the Hill Station Hotel by enhancing infrastructure, driving investor confidence, and promoting the state’s rich cultural and natural attractions.

Speaking on the project’s vision, Hakeem Daniel Condotti, Director of Hillside Hospitality highlighted its potential to redefine hospitality and tourism in Plateau State, reinforcing the commitment to excellence and innovation.

“Strom Infrastructure’s involvement in the Hill Station Project stems from a deep love for
Plateau State, evident in its investment and role in NESCO Nigeria. With a commitment to
preserving and enhancing historical landmarks, Strom Infrastructure was selected as the concessionaire for this transformative initiative.
“This milestone was formally sealed with the signing of the Heads of Terms Agreement in July 2024, marking the beginning of a strategic journey to reposition Hill Station Resort as a premier destination in Nigeria. In alignment with its collaborative philosophy, Strom Infrastructure established Hillside Hospitality to spearhead this endeavour.

“Recognising the need for strategic partnerships, Strom Infrastructure sought
out partners who will complement its industry experience. Thus, BLK Hut Media became a partner in Hillside Hospitality, laying a robust foundation for the successful realization of this ambitious vision,” Condotti further said.

The partnership between the Plateau State Government and Hillside Hospitality, a consortium of investors led by Strom Infrastructure Investment and Management Limited represents a new era of strategic investment in Plateau’s hospitality sector.

“We are committed to transform from Hill Station Hotel to Hill Station Resort. We are
commencing work on-site on March 1, 2025, we are taking Hill Station Resort to a global
stage and we are launching the first phase of the project by December, 2025. This marks a
significant step toward revitalising Hill Station and underscores our unwavering commitment to Plateau State’s growth. Hillside Hospitality believes in the transformative power of strategic
investments to uplift communities, create opportunities, and drive sustainable development. This project is about much more than infrastructure—it is about shaping the future of Plateau State and unlocking its vast potential to reclaim its position as the Hospitaliity Capital of Nigeria,” Condotti further noted.

He reaffirmed the commitment to deliver a world-class hospitality experience while preserving the cultural and historical essence of Hill Station Hotel.

“Our idea is to maintain the 1938 structure and site views with modern luxury. Our project timeline is from 2025 – 2027,” said Michael Nadorp, MD, 3ADB Limited.

With an expected commissioning in Q4 2025, the project will introduce state-of-the-art
conference facilities, premium accommodations, leisure amenities, and a revitalised tourism ecosystem to attract business travelers, tourists, and investors.

The stakeholder discussions also highlighted the project’s direct and indirect economic impact, from job creation to supporting local businesses and strengthening Plateau’s position as a premier hospitality hub.

“The people of plateau are diligent, hardworking and trusted to carry out every task given to them to do, we will support and patronize the business,” said Samuel N. Jatau, Secretary to the Plateau State Government on behalf of the Governor.
