Reality star Phyna has slammed the Dangote Group for allegedly going back on an earlier agreement to fly her sister, Ruth Otabor, abroad for urgent medical treatment following a serious accident.
The ex-Big Brother Naija star had previously raised the alarm after a Dangote truck ran over her sister, leaving her unconscious.
During a live Instagram session on Wednesday, Phyna disclosed that her sister Ruth has yet to regain consciousness.

According to Phyna, she has been providing the Dangote Group with regular updates on her sister’s condition. However, when she requested that Ruth be flown abroad for specialized care, she said the group asked for a new medical report from her current hospital, claiming they could not manage her treatment at their facility.
Phyna expressed frustration at the development, emphasising that their initial agreement was only for temporary stabilization in Lagos before her sister could be transferred abroad.
She noted that the hospital had confirmed Ruth could be safely moved, making the request for additional documentation unnecessary.
She explained in detail: “Medical reports he said to me received and I said these are all the medical reports and if you give it to your doctors too you realize she doesn’t have much time and we need to act fast what’s the next move right now…”
The reality star described her disbelief as the group continued to delay, despite clear evidence that Ruth’s condition required urgent attention.
She continued: “Now, this one vex me. Do you know why this vexed me? Because, hello, we had an agreement that we are only bringing my sister to Lagos. So they will be stabilizing her while we prepare to travel. That was our agreement. I already asked the hospital’s MD if my sister can be moved. He said yes. That should be what you should be asking. Like I said, she cannot be treated in Nigeria.”
Phyna further highlighted the severity of Ruth’s injuries, pointing out that her lungs contain fluid, her reproductive organs are damaged, and her bladder is affected. She criticized the insistence on extra reports, noting that the hospital’s capabilities should not dictate the decision to fly Ruth abroad.
“Please, can we have the medical report from Lagoon that says they cannot handle Ruth in their facility?… If Dangote’s child is sick, do they wait for medical reports to tell them to treat the girl in Nigeria? My sister’s lungs, there is fluid. Her reproductive organ is crushed. Her bladder is busted. We are praying every day for her to get to the next day.”
She further stressed that Ruth’s life must remain the top priority: “I cannot use my sister’s life to gamble. Now, I think I will share my demands with you…”
