Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, known as Adekunle Gold and AG Baby, turned heads at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris, Soccernet.ng reports.
The “pick up” crooner stepped out in a luxury ensemble styled by Louis Vuitton, and Vanguart, which is collectively worth tens of millions of naira.
The singer confirmed the fashion choices on his socials, writing: “Make nobody tell me say I don’t really deserve. I prayed for this all my life. Ballon d’Or was an inspiring moment. Styled in @louisvuitton x @vanguart x Tuffman.”

Adekunle Gold’s Look
Gold’s red carpet appearance featured a Louis Vuitton tailored black suit paired with the extraordinary Vanguart Blackhole rose gold watch, which is one of the rarest independent Swiss luxury timepieces.
His accessories — oversized black sunglasses, hoop earrings, and multiple rings, of course, added modern flair to an otherwise classic look.
How much is Vanguart Black Hole Tourbillon worth?
The Vanguart Black Hole Tourbillon, in its rose gold edition, is priced at around CHF 320,000 (≈ USD 350,000+). At current exchange rates, this is roughly ₦550 million, which makes it the true centrepiece of his outfit.
Adekunle Gold’s Louis Vuitton Exclusivity
The exact cost of Adekunle Gold’s Louis Vuitton suit has not been publicly disclosed. However, a custom Louis Vuitton jacket previously worn by him was reported to be worth over millions or Naira.

For comparison, Louis Vuitton men’s ready-to-wear blazers and jackets typically retail between USD 2,000 – USD 5,500 (₦3.1m – ₦8.5m), but prices rise steeply for bespoke or limited-edition couture. This means that AG Baby’s Ballon d’Or speaks to exclusivity.

Is Afrobeats on the Global Stage?
Adekunle Gold’s daring choice made him one of the standout figures of the night. Not only that, his presence firms Afrobeats’ growing global footprint. At the last edition, Nigeria’s Rema performed at the same event, and now the “Sade” singer confirms this.

While Nigerian football stars made headlines—with Chiamaka Nnadozie finishing 4th in the first-ever Women’s Yachine Trophy and Justin Madugu also recognised in the coaching category—Adekunle Gold ensured Nigeria’s entertainment industry shared in the spotlight too.
