Former President Goodluck Jonathan and Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, held a closed-door meeting in Abuja, fueling speculation about a potential political coalition for the 2027 elections.

Both parties have not disclosed the specifics of the talks, but Peter Obi described the meeting as “fruitful.”

​Investigative journalist David Hudeyin has raised a controversial theory, speculating about a future political collapse in Nigeria in 2026, which he claims is predicted in a 2010 report from the Rockefeller Foundation.

Hudeyin accused activist Omoyele Sowore of being an “American Intelligence contractor” and a “dangerous national traitor” being groomed to play a role in this alleged plan.
