In Canada, at least 18 people were injured after a Delta Air Lines regional jet crashed upon landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday.
The aircraft ended upside down on the runway. All 80 people on board were evacuated from the plane, after the accident, while two people were airlifted in critical condition.
The incident comes just weeks after an American Airlines plane collided midair with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter while approaching Washington DC’s Reagan National Airport.
