“I will forever remain grateful to this party,” he said.

The governor assured members that preparations for the party’s national convention scheduled for November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo State, are in top gear.

He noted that the compilation of delegates’ lists is already underway and promised a transparent and credible process.

“I want to reassure you that we are fully committed and will not leave any stone unturned. We are putting in our best and making sacrifices to ensure a successful convention,” Fintiri added.

He further stated that every aspirant would be given a fair chance to contest, saying, “We are not going to deny anybody the opportunity to contest.

“ Go and test your popularity in the field because those supported by the majority will emerge victorious.”

According to him, “When we parade the new National Working Committee, the country will know that the PDP is still alive.”

Also speaking, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who chairs the convention’s protocol subcommittee, commended the enthusiasm and mobilisation across the country.

He said the energy and unity ahead of the Ibadan convention reflect the PDP’s determination to reclaim its place as Nigeria’s foremost opposition party.
