ABUJA -The Supreme Court has refused to grant an application by Senator Samuel Anyanwu, seeking an order for stay of execution on the subsisting judgement of the Court of Appeal, Enugu Division which pronounced Hon. Udeh Okoye as the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
At a resumed sitting on the matter, Tuesday, the Supreme Court, however granted Anyanwu’s motion for accelerated hearing of the suit and therefore adjourned the matter to March 10, 2025.
Impliedly, with the refusal of the Supreme Court to grant a stay of execution, the declarative judgement by the Court of Appeal sacking Anyanwu from office as National Secretary of the PDP stands pending the final judgment of the Supreme Court.
The coast is clear for Udeh Okoye to fully assume office as PDP National Secretary.
