The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) agents were absent at some polling units in Ovia North East Local Government of Edo State during the Saturday by-election in the state.
Our reporter, who visited some polling units in Oluku, Owina and Eronseyi primary school, among others observed that there were no PDP agents at the polling units to observe the election.
It was observed that only All Progressives Congress agents were on the ground for the election.

Responding, the state PDP caretaker committee chairman, Toni Azeigbemi, said the PDP is participating in the election and that the party agents are on the ground in several polling units.
“We have polling agents for the election. After all, Peter Obi, Labour party presidential candidate in 2023 didn’t have agents in most of the polling units and he won in those units.”
