Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has added another award to his growing list of achievements after winning the Turkish Super Lig Goal of the Month award for September.

The Trabzonspor forward, who made a permanent switch from Southampton this season, has been in stellar form since returning to Turkey.

He has already scored seven goals and provided one assist in ten matches for the Black Sea Storm, claiming his place as one of the league’s standout performers.

Stunning scissors kick earns recognition

Onuachu’s award-winning goal came in late September against Fatih Karagümrük, a spectacular scissors kick finish that showed his flexibility despite his towering frame.

Earlier in the season, the 31-year-old had already claimed the August Goal of the Month for his strike against Samsunspor, making this his second consecutive monthly award.

He was presented with the latest trophy by Trabzonspor Vice President Taner Fikret Saral Verdi before their clash with Eyüpspor on Saturday night.

Leading the charge for Trabzonspor

Onuachu currently tops the Turkish Super Lig scoring chart with seven goals, ahead of Rafa Silva, Felipe Augusto, and Mauro Icardi, who each have five.

Meanwhile, fellow Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has managed just two goals so far in the Turkish league, largely due to injuries and fitness issues.
