Paul Onuachu was left out of Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming World Cup playoffs…
Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu scored the only goals for Trabzonspor in their 1-1 draw against Alanyaspor, Soccernet.ng reports.
Trabzonspor welcomed Alanyaspor to Papara Park on Saturday in their 11th Super Lig game of the season.
The Black Sea Storm entered the game as the favourites due to their bright start to the season and their better quality on paper.
Super Eagles striker Onuachu, who has been talismanic in front of goal with seven goals in 11 games, led the line for them.
Trabzonspor dominated the early exchanges, with Onuachu registering two early goal attempts. They did not have to wait too long to get the opener eventually, as Onuachu scored in the 15th minute, and it was another sweet goal.
Many tall footballers aren’t great with their feet, but not Onuachu. He received a pass from Mustafa Eskihellac in front of the box, used a beautiful piece of skill to get past his markers in the box, and poked the ball past to goalkeeper to make it 1-0
