Pastor Killed By Gunmen In Gombe

A pastor, Buba Galadima,of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Lubo community, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area, Gombe State has been assassinated.

The cleric’s home was reportedly broken into by the gunmen, who were believed to be armed robbers, at around one in the morning on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

According to neighborhood sources, the pastor was shot in the back as he attempted to flee the assailants.

Speaking on behalf of the State Police Command, Buhari Abdullahi stated that the incident was an instance of armed robbery rather than a bandit attack. Abdullahi claims that the priest was shot by the alleged robbers when they tried to loot him after they broke into his home.

He said, “The issue is a robbery because they entered into the house at night. Maybe they attempted to rob him, but unfortunately, from the way he was shot at the back, it seems he was trying to escape.

Additionally, Bello Yahaya, the Gombe police commissioner, has paid a visit to the hospital where Galadima’s body was placed. For the purpose of finding the criminals, Yahaya also sent a special police squad to the region.
